In honor of National Public Health Week and the American Public Health Association's 1 Billion Steps Challenge, the Society of Public Health Advocates invites you to join us in a 5K run/5K walk to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyle.
Proceeds will go toward Haitian Relief Efforts through the Solidarity Haitiano-Americaine de Long Island, Inc. (SHALI, Inc.)
This exciting event will be held SUNDAY APRIL 2, 2017 at the Hofstra University Physical Fitness Center. Registration starts at 8:00 AM and the run/walk begins at 9:00 AM.

About SOPHA
The Society of Public Health Advocates (SOPHA) is a public health graduate student run organization at Hofstra University. SOPHA looks to encourage environmental awareness, disease prevention, and health promotion through advocacy both at Hofstra and in the surrounding communities. The purpose of the organization is to establish opportunities of involvement in the promotion of public health on and off campus. SOPHA strives to bring awareness to the social determinants of health to minimize health disparities through community outreach and engagement.

Children's t-shirts not included with registration but available for purchase of $5 on race day.
